The Month of June is Pride month, when the LGBT communities host events and parades celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex culture.  These events also at times serve as demonstrations for legal rights such as same-sex marriage. Most pride events occur annually, and in June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City, a pivotal moment in modern LGBT social movements.  For more information visit the official NYC Pride 2018 website https://www.nycpride.org/

Happy Holidays

Thanksgiving Day marks the official start of the Holiday Season, which runs from Thanksgiving Day until New Years Eve.  I (Jaguar Gold) would like to express my warmest wishes during the 2017 Holiday Season.

This time of  year, for many around the globe, will enjoy festivities surrounded by family and friends.  We will give thanks to a higher power of our understanding, make donations to many organizations whom cater to those less fortunate, become gracious in our giving, express humility, enjoy the gifts we will receive, and express gratitude.

So as we celebrate the Holiday Season let us not forget those who smile outwardly, may not be smiling inwardly.  Show love and kindness not only during the Holiday Season, but throughout the year.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS JAGUARGOLD.

On December 1st, 2017 the world celebrated, honored, held events, and stood in solidarity for the fight against HIV/AIDS.

World AIDS Day is held on the 1st of December each year and it is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against AIDS/HIV, show their support for people living with AIDS/HIV and to commemorate people who have died.

World AIDS Day was first conceived in August 1987 by James W. Bunn and Thomas Netter, two public information officers for the Global Programme on AIDS at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. Bunn and Netter took their idea to Dr. Jonathan Mann, Director of the Global Programme on AIDS (now known as UNAIDS). Dr. Mann liked the concept, approved it, and agreed with the recommendation that the first observance of World AIDS Day should be on 1 December 1988.

Although the world has progressed in the fight against HIV/AIDS. We as a global community still have a long way to go.  Our global communities continue to fight against the stigma, discrimination, treatment, and prevention. Lest we forget.  1448968589172[1]
